ADPi Chapters in Northern California

Are there any sisters here from Chapters in Northern California? I am graduating this May and moving to the Bay Area and I am wanting to get involved with a chapter ASAP. I wanted to be an LC, but am accepting a different job offer instead, so I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions about chapters I can get involved with next year.

Thanks!

Welcome to the board, illinigrl! I'm not from a Northern CA chapter, but looking at which chapters we have up there, the closest chapter to the Bay Area would be Psi at UC Berkeley; after that, the next closest would likely be Eta Rho (CSU Chico).

Best of luck with your future job, and again, welcome to the boards!

Be sure to fill out the Alumnae Interest Profile on the ADPi website when you move, and post in the Alumnae Relocating section of Pride Online. Get involved with your area alumnae association when you move-- great way to make friends and connect with the chapters they support.

Good luck!

I agree to fill out the Alumnae Interest Profile online... And being from the Bay Area I can tell you a bit about what is going on out there... There is only one chapter at it is at UC Berkeley... There are multiple alum associations in the area, depending on where you live. There is the Marin County group out of the San Rafael area. Then there is the San Francisco group. There is also the Peninsula group which is out of Palo Alto and mainly an older group of alum. A younger group is the Silicon Valley group which is out of the South Bay area. I personally was involved with the Silicon Valley group and loved it. They are a great group of women. But really it is going to depend on where you live. The bay area is not that large, but it takes forever to get anywhere. If you have any general questions about the bay area feel free to ask me... I lived there for most of my life.
