I'm so excited to read all that happens during your recruitment! It seems like just the other day that I was posting my UF rush story.
The most important advice I think I can give you is to take good notes after each party. I can't tell you how many women I had to help when I was a pi chi when it came down to decision time they had skimped on the notes and couldn't remember which chapter was which.
Also, don't let other people influence your decision. Obvious, I know, but alot of this seems to happen every year. The pi chi's will do their best to keep "tent talk" (talking about sororities between each party) to a minimum, and during the prefs round you're not aloud to talk at all between parties. Make the best decision for yourself..not your best friend, or your boyfriend, or as harsh as it may seem, your mother. This is going to be a commitment you make so make sure the decision is based on what you feel and think.
Lastly, the days seem endless during rush, and at the end of it you just want to crash and go to sleep. I suggest you maybe take a night to go hang out with your rush group or your pi chi's at the swamp or a movie. Your pi chi's are encouraged to arrange these types of things. You might hear little announcements under the tent throughout the day like, "A bunch of us are going to ----- tonight, and you're all invited to come." Take them up on the offer! Go with friends or by yourself and make some friends.....seriously this was the most fun part of rush for me because I got to make some really awesome friends that ended up in different chapters, but we're still really close.
Alright...I think I've babbled quite enough for now
The most important thing for you to do is have fun! And good luck!
PS, as far as jobs go, what are you looking for more specifically. I could probly help you out in that department.
