considering dropping, rerushing

currently im a pledge and im not loving the fraternity im with and its a lot of time so would it be a good idea for me to drop and get my life under control and find out more about greek life and look at rushing again in the spring? can i rush again?

by that i just thought it might be more manageable once im actually used to living on my own, im a freshman thats very new to all this

This really depends on your school. At some schools this would be a superb idea. At some schools you are pretty much giving up your only chance to be Greek if you drop now.

At big schools it should not be a problem ( i believe) as i have had friends at other schools drop a fraternity during pledge ship and be blackballed during pledge ship and try again in the spring.

Just a friendly suggestion that perhaps you should hold off on the advice until you're a member of a fraternity yourself and have more experience than just what you know from some friends.

And pledgeship is one word.
