Congratulations to Sigma Tau Gamma on rechartering at Henderson State University(AR). The installation of the new chapter took place this past weekend.
Kappa Delta Rho has begun the process of re-colonizing at Clarion University(PA).

Ohio Northern University has elected to explore sorority expansion. All 4 existing chapters voted for the expansion. Over the last 5 years, chapter total and formal recruitment quota has remained nearly the same despite the fact that campus enrollment is declining. Over the last 5 years, there has also been a huge increase of women who begin recruitment and walk away bid-less. Last fall, over 60 women declined bids extended to them, or dropped out of the process all together. For such a small campus, with a formal quota between 17 and 20, this became concerning. So the exploratory committee reached out to the girls who dropped out or declined bids to find out why. It boils down to the fact that 4 chapters is just not enough to reach out to every woman there. One girl put it as "being forced to choose between wearing red, black, white, or gray when I am dying to dress in bright pink." The PNMs who dropped also felt that they never got to know enough about each chapter, nor enough chapter members, during recruitment to make such a big decision.
Lo and behold, there were about 25-30 women who are interested in chartering a new chapter who began exploring the process independently without even knowing about the expansion committee.
AOPi closed down due to declining number in 1995, after Kappa Alpha Theta chartered in 1994. Only one academic year was there 5 chapters on campus. ONU will reach out to NPC and advertise that they are looking this summer with the hopes of narrowing down the potential organizations this fall/winter. Delta Zeta, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Alpha Xi Delta have been on campus since 1959, and Theta since 1994. it would be great if AOPi was interested in returning. But just as great if new groups express interest. DG and ADPi (I think) presented when Theta did, when Theta was chosen.
There has recently been quite a bit of successful fraternity expansion. Phi Mu Delta and Sigma Pi have both rechartered in the last 2 years with great numbers after 4 year absences. FIJI had a new chapter chartered 6 years ago. Sigma Phi Epsilon, Delta Sigma Phi, and Theta Chi continue to hold good numbers. Alpha Sigma Phi will likely be rechartering this fall after being gone since 1995-ish.
So while university enrollment has declined a bit, greek life involvement has increased. I'm looking forward to it!

I've been hoping Beta Pi would come back for a while and I think there's a lot of support in the area for the chapter. Anyone know what the housing situation is and if there's space available for a new group?
Edit: I found the answer to my own question here: https://www.uc.edu/greeklife/council...sion-info.html
Looks like a mix of off- and on-campus housing and there would be on-campus housing opening up.

Skimmed the thread, did not see an announcement about the Alpha Sigma Alpha chapter being installed at University of Arizona this past weekend. Have no details on numbers or anything of the sort. Just got info on the installation from a friend.
Wish the chapter all the best.
