Oooohhh...I tried to find a Bid Day picture. Could you please post? I did see her name on the Bid Day list on their chapter website.
I have to say, they have the best website I've ever seen for sorority...their techie expertise is showing! The A Chi O one is great too...they don't take down pictures of Rho Pi Chis...they photoshop over their faces with cute symbols.

According to Wiktionary (the Dictionary part of Wikipedia), campuses is common and campi is viewed as rare and non-standard.
Campus is latin for field or area of action, so the use in an area of education doesn't really exist (Campi would be Nominative or Vocative plural or Genitive singular) . Campi *is* the plural of campus (in the collegiate sense) in Portuguese, but not French or Spanish.

Congratulations to your friend's daughter.
As my username indicates, I am an AEPhi alum ... I am one of the founders of the chapter at MIT. We participated in FR for a few years, but it's an uphill "battle" when you have around 15 sisters and total is 80 and all the other chapters are close to, if not over, total. (Total was 80 in my day, and I believe it still is. Pi Phi did a from-the-ground-up colonization accordingly, well after my time.) So my chapter has opted for a more low-key informal recruitment.
I never saw a rec in my entire time as an active. As you said, Sciencewoman, MIT recruitment is nothing like SEC recruitment.

Thanks for this--it made me smile. Congrats to her and Theta. I looked up my organization's chapter on campus. Wow are they impressive! They have a beautiful house and those girls are smart. I don't even know what some of their majors mean!

Ha!
My dad was supposed to go to MIT, but my grandfather wouldn't let him because it was all-male at the time. Lucky for me!
