Going through recruitment as a transfer?
Hypothetically, a girl graduates from highschool early and goes to community college. Let's also say she plans on going through recruitment at a school she transfers to.
Does year in that particular manner affect her?
I know y'all can't give a definite yes or no but I'd love input on this hypothetical scenario.
I'm sorry that I ask so many questions on here. I'm just new to this all and keep reading through the General Advice thread.

You're over-worrying this. If you want to go to junior college for a semester or a year before going off to big college, do it. Keep your grades up and stay involved in your community.
Even if you will be a sophomore, many of the big southern schools have upper classmen quotas. And even if they don't, being a sophomore doesn't necessarily cut your chances of joining a sorority. There are too many variables. However, girl who is on verge of nervous breakdown from stress who walks through the front door of the house during rush, probably not great chances. Just sayin. Chill. Go do something fun and turn off your computer for awhile.

If the spring semester at the community college and the fall semester at the private school add up to enough credits (determined by the private school), then it seems that you would be a first semester sophomore when you go through recruitment. Is your school prejudiced against sophomores when it comes to recruitment?

It's also a competitive school when it comes to recruitment.

This is an example of something your theoretical PNM couldn't change. So what would be the point of worrying about it?
Here is some advice meant with the best possible intentions: you would probably be better off stepping away from the internet when it comes "preparing" for your recruitment. You are moving into the territory of psyching yourself out about every little detail, most of which you can't control or change. Start focusing on the things you can control like your grades, social skills, extracurriculars, grooming etc.
I'm not even going to start with how easy it is to figure out the school you're looking at. You're giving out way too much identifying information about that and yourself.

You're right. Worrying so much and doing so little will only hurt me in the long run! I just need to quit worrying so much.

Did I edit it correctly?
You're right. I know I can't control it so I should let it bother me or my future experience, but I guess I psyched myself out since it's new to me. I know it's not rocket science haha but I guess I have a bad habit of doing this(worrying).I think I'll just focus on getting my recommendations an keeping my grades up. Thank you!

I'm a worrier too so I feel you, but this might be a good time to learn some "let it go" skills. Trust me, you'll need those skills later on in life. I'd give you some examples of when, but then you'll just start worrying about all those things!
