The night before Bid Day I seriously couldn’t sleep. I was so anxious, wondering what house would give me a bid. The next morning, after 2 hours of sleep, I woke up to get ready for the day!
The entire way to the coliseum, where we were getting our bids, I couldn’t stop worrying. I knew I’d get into the right house for me but the question was which one!!!
We got to the coliseum and had a huge breakfast. Everyone was nervous with chatter when our Rho Gams had us stand, placed our bid cards on our seats and had us sit back on top of them. Everyone from Pan talked to us while our Rho Gams got ready to show what house they were from. All the Rho Gams started chanting songs from each house and in the middle the girls from that house revealed what chapter they belonged to, it was so exciting.
Finally, after all the cheering our Rho Gams came back to our tables and it was announced that we could open our bid cards.
I was shaking, my hands were sweating and my mouth was dry, I was so scared!
I kept saying in my head Walt or Jack, Walt or Jack over and over again
I jumped up, grabbed my envelope, ripped it open and SCREAMMMMEDDDDD!!!!!!!!
Another girl had gotten the same house so we hugged and screamed while jumping…then our Rho Gam came over…she was in the same house, so the jumping and screaming circle got bigger because I had gotten a bid from

Rho Gams told us all throughout the week that you’ll end up in the right house, and for me they were right! I didn’t rank Tri-Delta at the top, or the bottom, during the beginning of the week, but I just didn’t realize how amazing the house was until the 2nd to last day!
I’ve had the time of my life this year and the girls I’ve met are amazing, I’m so proud to call them my sisters.
My chapter went under some major rebuilding in the past two years, almost all the girls chose not to come back for the 2006-2007 year recruitment, leaving only 11 girls to rebuild the house that was once full. I’m proud to say that we got something like 39 girls during my recruitment. We lost a few through the year but we’re in the 80s as far as members go and just initiated 5 new girls, which is amazing for only 2 years! I’m proud be apart of this chapter and am so glad I decided to go through with recruitment!
PSSigKapCoug Jack was your house! I loved your house and know some amazing girls that got in there. The way you guys recruited was really great and I felt welcomed everyday I walked in!
