Long-time, very successful alumnae club or Alumnae Panhellenic Fundraisers?

I know of two long time Pi Phi fundraisers. One is the Sign of the Arrow Gift Shop in Ladue (outside of St. Louis). It more than 50 years old and was started as a fundraiser for the St. Louis Alumnae Club. They have supported many community organizations over the years as well as many Pi Phi endeavors. The other is also over 50 years old and is Christmas Village. It takes place in Nashville at the Fairgrounds and is a marketplace for arts and crafts as well as unique gift items. The club was recently honored for its devotion to the Bill Wilkerson Center at Vanderbilt. In its 52 years, the proceeds from Christmas Village have translated to 8.2 million in donations to local and Pi Phi philanthropies.

I'd love to put together a list of these kinds of fundraisers. I'm hoping that GCers can add to this list.

A friend told me about this one:
The Dallas Alumnae club of Chi Omega has a Christmas market, that is huge. It used to be at the Convention Center and last year moved to Fair Park http://www.chiomegaxmas.org/

I suspect other alumnae clubs across the country have similar kinds of events. I'd love to compile a list. I was able to attend Christmas Village in Nashville a few years ago and it was an incredible event. I also had the opportunity to meet the woman who was the Alumnae Club President when the event began.

Delta Delta Delta Alumnae

Tri Delta alumnae across the country have fundraisers. These four are the largest and financially successful events that I recall.

Sleighbell Luncheon--This event began in 1947 and has raised millions for pediatric oncology research at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. It involves both alumnae and to a lesser extent collegiate chapters in the greater Los Angeles area.

Eve of Janus--Nashville Alumnae of Tri Delta have sponsored this fundraiser for many years. It benefits the pediatric oncology clinic at Vanderbilt.

Cookies and Castles--Texas alumnae in the Dallas/Fort Worth area hold this event which involves the collegiate chapters as well as alumnae. Decorating gingerbread "castles" is the theme.

Care Affair-Atlanta alumnae sponsor one of the largest Tri Delta fundraisers. In 2013 $90,000 was raised for CURE to support efforts to cure childhood cancers. The event includes a celebrity auctioneer, silent auction, elegant dinner and dancing. An additional $10,000 was raised for the Delta Delta Delta Foundation. This year bidders were able to bid online as well as at the Care Affair.

Alpha Gamma Delta's Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Club coordinated the Kirk Arts & Crafts Show for many, many years to benefit the Kirk School in Palatine, Illinois.
I'll send you contact info off-list.

The Theta Antiques Show is a HUGE event in Houston. The website says it's the 64th year. That certainly qualifies as long-running! http://thetacharityantiquesshow.com/

The KKG Annual Christmas Home Tour in Kansas City is a very successful and long lived philanthropy project in that area. Check out the Kansas City KKG Alum page on the web for more info.

Also, TableScapes in Dallas is another very successful KKG event.

I put together a post about the upcoming holiday shopping opportunities presented by the alumnae of NPC groups. I surmise it is not a complete list. Please let me know of any other upcoming shopping events. Thanks.

The list is at http://wp.me/p20I1i-1cN
