Okay, Reesie passed away. I didn't expect it. It happened soooo suddenly. She was at the documentary presentation, then that was it!

I was tripping off that as well. I was caught by surprise.

Me too. . .looked so healthy and everything. Kimberly Elise was radiant last night too.
I was hoping I had misread it, but since you all saw it I guess not.

A real eye-opening book.

I am currently on book #4 of the B-Boy Blues series. Between this guy's series and E. Lynn Harris, it really makes you wonder what's going on with your man! But then again, you should wonder and protect yourself! The days are long gone that you can be totally free with anyone you choose! Protection is readily available. Use it! And if whomever you're with doesn't want to use it, time to move on!
Last night's episode of Girlfriends was wonderful! It was a fresh and much-needed departure from the crazy comedy that already makes up the show.
I hope that once the producers of these sitcoms realize that they have hooked the audience's attention, that they will do more meaningful and life-changing shows.

My home girl played the heck out of that part. I really felt like someone I knew had died when I saw the ending. I was really hoping they would make her a recurring character. I think they could have had a greater, long-term impact with the AIDS story line if they had.

I agree. It would have been nice to see someone on TV in the Black, heterosexual community living with AIDS.

That would have been nice. They could have gotten really down with it by having one of the friends take care of her while she was sick. Which girlfriend? Joan. How about that?
story:
Reesie steals the boyfriend, marries him, and becomes infected, then Joan takes care of her. That would have been a GREAT storyline. Oh yeah, bring the ex-boyfriend that infected her on an episode or so and have him come to terms with his 'ways'.
Is that too far fetched or what?

Those would have been great storylines. But you know they can only handle so much seriousness from Black folks.

You know they don't like it when we get too serious. Look what happened to Roc.

Didn't they say he had already died? Or am I getting it mixed up with something else?

JOAN NEEDS TO KICK ROCKS!!! I am too tired of Joan and Ellis and their melodramatic relationship. I would not have spent my BEST FRIEND'S wedding weekend fooling around with ANYBODY! I can agree that I would have kicked Ellis's arse to the curb for kissing Sylvia!!! That isht was a trip!! Then the BINCH had the nerve to say "I didn't disrespect you, so why are you disrespecting me?" WTF? You kissing my man is not disrespect?! If it isn't, what is?
OK, a lot is happening while I am typing, so I'll just keep going.
Joan was about to make me cry when she gave her "speech." She is sincere, but she just needs to put her relationship angst aside.
Doesn't Savad look out of place sitting on the row with those white folks?
TONI CHILDS GOT MARRIED!!!!
