Awww, I liked her!

What she said about them getting rid of all the older people on ER in favor of the younger ones...I think that's crap. Like she said, it's good to have the variety in ages. And if they're trying to appeal to a younger audience, I'm 20, and some of my favorite characers were Dr Corday and Dr Greene, who aren't exactly young.

Are there any original cast members left? Is Dr. Weaver still there?

I stopped watching ER after George Clooney and Juliana Margulies (sp?) left the show. It was all down hill after that.

Weaver's still there. On the season finale, she was still fighting for custody of Henry, the boy her late partner, Sandy, gave birth to. The only original character left on the show is Dr. Carter.

I second that!!!!!!!!!

I only watched part of the season after Juliana left, but then they killed of Greene, so I was like "this sucks".

Oh, Sherry Stringfield (sp) is still on the show. She is an original cast member who left in the third season I believe and then came back in the 6th season I believe. Other than her, Carter is the only "original" cast member. Weaver came in in the second season.

This is very common. TV executives program to the demographic that advertisers want to appeal to (18-35, male) If you take a careful look at costumes and casting you'll see very few women over 40 unless they are in a supporting (mother) role. I'm disappointed but not surprised. While you'd hope that ER, which was, at one point, a fairly good depiction of the environment of a teaching hospital, would show the hierarchy that does require age and experience. The show has gone downhill FAST and is now, both with the medical storylines and with the way they treat characters.
