I have seen this done as well. And given the short amount of time that's available, this might be the best idea.
It helps to have something to focus on that the other person is showing/doing. Ladybug12 mentions a brag board, which I'm assuming is similar to what's used for tabling.
How I have seen it done is during Philanthropy round where one half of the party does the craft and the other half of the party watches a video (then chats). At some point there's a signal given to switch (or people are excused by floaters) and the sisters in the craft area get up with their PNM, find their partner, exchange PNMs, and do the 2nd half of the party with the new PNM back in the craft area.
If you don't have something to show off, it's a little trickier, but still doable.
