Letters of Recommendation Questions

Will letters from a current member versus an alumnae hold different 'weights' in the opinions of each chapter?
Also, if someone has 'deactivated' since their initiation, it will render them ineligible to write a letter of rec am I correct?
Thanks again for all of the help! Trying to quickly prepare myself for fall Rush!

1) It depends on the group. Some don't allow collegians to sign recs.

2) Once again, it depends on what you mean by "deactivate." DO you even know what that means? If you are talking about someone who belongs to a group that allows members to take a semester off from membership by going "inactive" or some other such temoray designation, you'd have to find out from them about that. But if you mean that they have resigned permanently their membership, then no, they are no long a member of that group and have no membership privileges of any kind. You probably just need to stay away from someone like this with regard to rcs and letters of support.

FYI - you don't have to create a new thread for each and every question you have. If you just stick to one thread, it will make things easier for both you and us.

Btw, my significant other went to UNT and he says you should go to Fry St., and you have to keep an eye out for the gypsy. Apparently you'll know what that means when you see him.

Good luck!
