^^^^Depending on your school and how their philanthropy day works, you may be crafting or making something for a charity.
If that's the case, don't wear anything you wouldn't want to get paint/glue/etc. on.

It may look like you are trying TOO hard.

With the right outfit, these shoes would be really cute -- something with lots of black and white combined. Is philanthropy the last round before pref at your school, or is there another? I would suggest wearing them for the round right before prefs; if you want to wear them for recruitment. They look really comfortable for walking around in.

I don't think those are right for this - for several reasons. So no.

I'm somewhere in between these two responses. For the right outfit, they may work, but at the same time couldn't a black or white shoe work? It seems like wearing these might be trying too hard. Or at least on my campus it would be trying too hard.

thanks for the input everyone! Im planning on wearing a light grey dress that is rather plain. I understand it may look like I was trying too hard, I just thought since I owned them already maybe one of my nicer flats would be best to wear.
@barbino, philanthropy is the second day.
Thanks again!

Some people might interpret the large luxury logo as you trying to say "hello! I have a ton of money!" which is not the image you want to give off in recruitment (the image that you would flaunt your wealth, not necessarily the image that you/your family has wealth at some schools). I'd pass on them, to be safe.

If the dress is plain try accessorizing it with color... I don't know the style, but a pop of color in a belt, shoes, bracelet or necklace, could bring style. Recruitment is the time you want to look your most sophisticated, conservative, and elegant.
I do like the shoes, just think for recruitment it's too much.

I think they are too much - not too glitzy but too 'out there, in your face, my shoes are talking to you' too much.
Cute shoes! Just not right for rush, imo.

I concur with most of the previous posters. They are definitely cute shoes, but just not sure if they are the right choice for recruitment.
Something else to consider: A previous poster commented that on Philanthropy Day you may have to deal with arts and crafts. Can you imagine if you spilled glitter on those shoes? With the stitching I see on the tops, it would be a nightmare to get it all out. And can you imagine going off to another house with glitter sparkling on your shoes?
One other thing: You want the sisters to focus on YOU (i.e., your face), not your shoes. I get the feeling some might remember the shoes better than they might remember better things about you.

I think Tory Burch would be better - at least the styles I am familiar with. The logo is present but not overly so.
In which part of the country will you be going through recruitment?
