Neither are you. Cookiez is very enthusiastic and I appreciate her love of greek life. However, she is a recent sorority member, and is still in college, so hasn't had the exposure many of us have. Until then, it might be best for her to sit back and observe in areas she has little or no knowledge or expertise, while participating in threads in which she does have experience.

I have to admit, this hurts. I absolutely hate to see a chapter of such longevity closed, for any reason. I am happy to see that the fraternity could possibly return after a few years.

There is a BIG difference between making comments about things you aren't in a position to authoritatively speak of, and very politely asking someone to not do that.

This past weekend, Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT) initiated 32 founding fathers to their new colony at University of North Florida (UNF). Congratulations and welcome to the Brotherhood.

Phi Mu is also presenting at Clemson University. From the Clemson PHC instagram page.

A friend of mine just posted on her FB page (the actual email from HQ) that her Alpha Gamma Delta chapter at Southern California (USC) has been closed due to low membership.

My friend joined in the mid 1980's and one semester later, the chapter was closed. The chapter was dormant for 30 years and was recolonized about 5 years ago.

The third presenter per the Clemson PHC instagram page is AOII. Last time was AOII, AGD, and Pi Phi, with Pi Phi being selected. Of the three groups presenting this time-Delta Gamma, Phi Mu and AOII-Phi Mu and AOII would be new chapters to campus and DG would reestablish their Epsilon Kappa chapter which was open from 1981-2003.

Also, that's so sad to hear about the AGD chapter. I know there was a ton of excitement for their reopening because they restarted a few chapters in that area at the same time.

That is so sad to hear about the USC chapter of Alpha Gam. USC's greek system seems very stratified, and not at all Panhellenic. I worked at an upscale women's clothing store in Pasadena in the nineties. Many of our customers were USC grads, and they were sorority alums. There was much talk of "good" and "bad" chapters at USC. (Most of these women did not work, and shopped as a hobby.)

I also know rush is super competitive down there. So that leaves 9 NPC chapters on campus.

At least one other chapter has had struggles with numbers.
