Talking Inspiration for the Day

Hey everyone,

I received this inspiration today from someone, and I wanted to pass it along. I hope someone else can benefit from it like I did.

As you journey through life, choose your destinations well, but do not hurry there. You will arrive soon enough. Wander the back roads and forgotten paths, keeping your destination in your head, like the fixed point of a compass.

Seek out new voices, strange sights, and ideas foreign to your own. Such things are riches for the soul. And if, upon arrival, you find that your destination is not exactly as you had dreamed, do not be disappointed.

Think of all you would have missed but for the journey there, and know that the true work of your travels lies not in where you come to be at journey's end, but in who you come to be along the way.

Here's some more upliftment for you this week! Stay blessed!!

I asked God

1. I asked God to send me his friends...He
sent you.

2. I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

3. I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

4. I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by product of tribulations; it isn'tgranted, it is earned.

5. I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.

6. I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws youapart From worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

7. I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to makeyou fruitful.

8. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.

9. I asked God to help me LOVE others as much as He loves me. God said....... Ahhh, finally! you have the idea.

It is not loving to stay in a place or an experience where you are happy sometimes, sad most of the time. It is not loving to convince yourself that it is okay to stay in a place where you are not loved, honored and valued the way your heart tells you you deserve to be. It is not self-loving, nor is it loving to others involved, to allow yourself to be mentally, emotionally or physically abused in hope that things can, or will, get better. When you participate in actions and activities that are not loving toward you, you are helping them do things that hurt you, and that is not a loving thing to do. It is easy to convince yourself that you must stay where you are because you have no place else to go; or because you know things could be worse, or because you know things could get better. It is easy to overlook things that eat away at your sense of self; your sense of value, your sense of well-being. As easy as it may be to blame someone else, to try to ignore what you feel, to call your pain a sacrifice for love, you are not being loving or wise to do so. Eventually, you will be held responsible for everything you experience and how you have responded to it.Love does not ask us to lose ourselves, harm ourselves or sacrifice ourselves for its sake. Love offers itself to us, measure for measure, what we offer it. If you are being dishonored, disrespected, physically harmed for the love you give, you must ask yourself; "Am I really giving love, or am I simply afraid to leave?" Until today, you may have participated in being unloving toward yourself Just for today, allow yourself to stand in the truth, honor and peace of love. Ask yourself I receiving all that I am giving?" If not, ask yourself; "Why not?"
