No. He's harmless. I hold him all the time. That's not a stinger, that's his flagellum. It's kind of like a radio aerial, and it acts like a biological receiver. What it does is it picks up chemical stimuli and the movement of air currents, via its sensory hairs. I think he's light sensitive, too. Just based on his behavior, I get those vibes. I bought him because I've always wanted one. Like I said, the Emperor Scorpion was given to me. He's not mean at all. When I first got him, he was a little freaked out so he sprayed a lot, but now he doesn't do much spraying at all. He's used to me, now, and he loves his new home. You know me, I'm going to put him in his real life environment. And so far, he loves it. He loves to burrow.

They're really cool animals.

No, it's not like totally disgusting. It's a secretion that's about 80% acetic acid, 15% octanoic acid, plus some other acids in minute quantities. But it's diluted with water. It also depends on the species as well. It just has an odor when he does spray. It smells like vinegar because it's similar to the same chemicals that make up vinegar. They spray for self-defense.

eta: Oh, and yes. He has a very, very large aquarium. It's like, massive. Charlotte's is, too. I just want them to feel as though they're outside in their natural habitats. So the aquariums are really big ones with lots of places and space for them to go.

The following week, as I was walking down the hallway after church, the pastor caught up with me and acted as if he hadn't talk to me in a minute and wanted me to stop by his office to talk to him. What's foul is Brandi wrote some shit about me in that note she gave dude's wife. I put two and two together. I'm getting to the point where I'm going to stop fuckn with Brandi altogether.
