I doubt it, but his story is an old fashioned success story:grinding it out by rising through the ranks from undergrad leadership, to local grad chapter involvement (including leadership), district leadership involvement, to the Supreme Council (including holding two Grand Officer positions) before election as Grand Basileus. He knows everyone and has forged relationships throughout the Fraternity--and he had an enthusiastic and very active base in the 6th District (NC/SC) who campaigned vigorously for him all over the nation. I'm a product of the 6thD. (I had a conversation with a Brother from the 6thD the days leading up to the Grand Conclave and he said that he going as a part of the contingent to help get Bro. Knox elected. They were on a mission!)
He also has a very strong and supportive family. His son is a Que, and his wife and daughter are Deltas. (I was at the initiation when his son became a Brother of Omega. This was when I met him.)
His acceptance speech at the Founders Banquet centered on the theme of unity in Omega, while the song "We are one" by Frankie Beverly and Maze played in the background.
