Question Should I send a gift?

My legacy daughter was fortunate enough to accept a bid from my sorority (not the same school I attended) last week! Should I send a gift to the chapter congratulating them on their new pledge class? Is that crazy? And if I did what could I send?

You could send flowers but honestly I would support the Chapter any way you can. Chapters always need didn't things from volunteers to sometimes donations. Just getting involved would be great. Maybe some other folks have ideas.

I think it would be lovely to send a gift to the chapter to congratulate them on their pledge class. Cookies are always a favorite with collegians! Maybe a mix of chocolate chip with some decorated in the sorority symbols or colors.

Would you have sent flowers to this chapter congratulating them on their successful recruitment had your daughter joined somewhere else?

If the chapter doesn't know you they may wonder why you sent them flowers, or they may think it is because your daughter got a bid, and that might make your daughter feel awkward.

I like the cookie idea. That way, if your daughter feels awkward because you sent the chapter cookies, they can eat the evidence!
