New Chapter House @ USC

Congrats to our sisters at Eta Gamma Chapter at University of South Carolina on their new chapter house! The dedication is next weekend, October 26, 2003.

The Greek Village at USC has been an long-awaited dream. Chi Omega can be especially proud that the USC Greek Advisor AND the Sorority Council President are both Sisters!

Sorry to Crash...

Been doing that a lot lately!

I haven't mentioned it yet but, NutBrown it is good to see you posting on GC. You are a dear and your posts are so pleasant!

When did Chi O come back to USC. I remember them leaving a few years back, is that correct? They had a nice house then but the one you just posted is gorgeous!

Hi Jill -- thanks for the nice remarks!

Eta Gamma has been at University of South Carolina (USC) since 1928. I bet you're thinking of University of Southern California (USC)!

Oops my bad! I guess I have been out on the West Coast 5 years too long! We think of USC as Southern Cal...

I really need to go back home to the East Coast!

South Carolina has a nice campus

Makes me jealous that we didn't have a house like that...or a house period for that matter!

Sure is a lovely Chi Omega house!

Hootie, I hear what you're saying, but I think we could all probably agree that what made/makes our Chi Omega experience great was/is the PEOPLE -- not the bricks and morter. (Also, remember...Eta Gamma has been a great chapter for 75 years without a house.)

I'm an Eta Gamma at USC and I just wanted to say thank you for all the compliments yall have given on our house. We are so excited about it! We had rush in it this year and it was a great experience. Our house dedication is this Sunday and the Chi O National President is coming. Thanks again for all the compliments!

A Report from the Eta Gamma Celebration:

The dedication of the Chi Omega house and the 75th anniversary of the Eta Gamma Chapter were held at 11:30 on Sunday, October 26, 2003 at the new house. Thanks to all of the many alumnae who set aside time for this special day…we had alums there who graduated in the 1930s up to 2003! It was a huge success and there are so many people to thank…our active chapter organized almost the entire thing including food, program, and the gift to USC (we were the only chapter on campus whose active chapter did the planning!). Mary Ann Fruge', Chi Omega national president, was one of our many special guests.
