I love this list! It's nuts because I can tell you there is NO way dePauw University is a Top 20 party school, been there. Have former students who go there now and complain about how lame the parties are. Students who go there often leave on the weekends for the parties at Purdue and Indiana.

Total sidenote, but it irks me to no end that I have to log in or create a Princeton Review account in order to access their rankings. If the information is going to be so widely disseminated on the internet, they only drive away pageviews from themselves by requiring a login when I could read it elsewhere.

I am surprised that LSU isn't on the list.

Duh.

We're also:

#1 in Biological/Agricultural Engineering
#1 in Civil Engineering
#1 in Engineering Science/Physics
#2 in Materials Engineering
#2 in Accounting
#4 in Electrical Engineering
#5 in Computer Engineering
#5 in Environmental Engineering
#6 in Engineering (General)
#6 in Mechanical Engineering
#7 in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering
#8 in Insurance
#10 in Real Estate
#11 Top Public School

(Per US News & World Report)

And that's just undergrad, we have many top 10 graduate programs as well.

For perspective, I am actually surprised to hear we were 1. Top ten, sure, no doubt about it, but I always assumed that schools where football is religion would always rank higher. I can't imagine what those tailgates must look like...and that's a whole semesters worth of huge parties!

I know we rank high because of Greek life, our 19+ bar entry age for the 10+ on campus bars and Unofficial...but still, I was actually a little surprised to be #1.

Is there no longer anything on the Urbana side? It's 18+ over there!

I was definitely not into the Urbana scene when I was an undergrad (although since I was back for my brother's graduation in May, I wish I would have given off-campus Urbana a chance!), so I completely forgot about that. The only thing on campus is Canopy Club, and I believe that is still 18+

My sister was accepted into U of I but decided on a different school after visiting in February. She said she couldn't believe it was the #1 party school because there is no party she would brave that weather for! haha.....

LOL!

SOOOOOOO many girls would brave the bars without coats during the winter (yes in the 10 degrees) instead of paying the $2 coat check.

I was always like, eff that noise, I'm staying warm.

I find the list interesting. Living in the heart of SEC country, all we hear is how LSU is the biggest party school in the conference. I hear about Ole Miss and some about Alabama but not nearly as much about Georgia and I live in the state now (wasn't raised here).

I agree with this in terms of the Pennsylvania schools. Kids leave Lehigh and Bucknell area to attend parties at Penn State. Not sure how they even really made this list. Bucknell is in a really nice area of PA. It's hardly a party school.
