Chapters that fail because of a variety of reasons is sad and none of us want that to happen. Chapters that close because of repeated drug and alcohol offenses? Yeah, I'm pretty cold-hearted. Moving into a sorority house that had failed, yes, I would go in with lots of respect. Moving into a fraternity house because of bad behavior? I think I would use this as a big ole learning lesson for the girls. You are NOT too big, too important, too whatever for us to pull that charter right off the wall and walk away forever.

My point is that I'm pretty sure every brother who passed through that house (over, often, decades) was not an irresponsible piece of poo & those alumni are the men I'm speaking of being respectful to.
I've heard too many sorority women say that the men are the problem. Let's not kid ourselves. Sorority women commit their share of risk management behaviors of all stripes.
Anyway, probably time to get back on topic.

Any idea which sorority was chosen? How do so many of y'all know so early about presentations, colonizations, closings, etc.? Is there a link I could go to as well to get this info? Thanks!

True - a lot of single letters chapters bit the dust. Sad but longevity, even being the founding chapter is no guarantee when you keep on with the bad behaviour.

Thanks. I'll have to check those out. I'm not on Twitter though, but I have been able to see tweets from people.

Alpha Sigma Alpha and Kappa Kappa Gamma are presenting at Binghamton University(NY). Good luck to both groups.

This past weekend, 2 new colonies were established. On Saturday, ZBT initiated and pinned 26 Founding Fathers into the new colony at the College of Charleston (SC) and on Sunday, 34 Founding Fathers were initiated and pinned into the new colony at Yeshiva University (NY).

Per their web site, Alpha Sigma Tau closed their chapter at York College of Pennsylvania due to the chapter’s violation of the Sorority’s anti-hazing policies.
