1. Salute a Soror:

I want to salute the soror who brought me to Delta - my good friend Sharon who wrote my letter of recommendation. I am her branch - I come from her. She is such a hardworking soror, and even more importantly, such a good friend! So as her branch off the Delta tree, I have an obligation to her to be a good Delta.

2. DST Superlatives: Create a superlative for a soror.

"create a superlative"? I don't know what this is - can I get a clue on this? Is it like in high school - "Most Popular"?

3. Our task is to create a cyber time capsule that represents Delta from her birth to her 100th centennial.

I will add a photo to the cyber time capsule later, but I do have a story.

During the 90th Anniversary celebration, my sororfriend and I were lamenting over the fact that we didn't have tickets to see the play "The 22" which was performed on Howard's campus during the festivities. Two 'seasoned' sorors heard us talking, and one asked, "Do you want to go to the play?" We said, "We don't have tickets." She said, "I know that, but DO YOU WANT TO GO TO THE PLAY?" We said, "we can't afford tickets." She said, "I didn't ask you that - I asked if YOU WANT TO GO TO THE PLAY." We said, "yes m'am.", and she and her linesister gave us their tickets so we got to go to the play.

I love it how someone who I didn't even know, who overheard my conversation, performed such a wonderful and sisterly act of kindness.

23. I love our Founder Madree Penn White! What a phenomenal women she had to have been to do all that she did for Delta! She is definitely my favorite Founder.

(yes, I have a favorite Founder, LOL).

24. I love the fact that you can bond with sorors on other levels in addition to Delta.

And that this has a 4 included in it....

25. I love learning history, and Delta is FULL of history. Each chapter, region, and soror has a very fulfilling history.

26. You never have to have a reason to gather with your sorors...they are just cool like that.

and i would like to salute a soror--CT4!!!! she's really helped me in soooooo many ways. she became my cyber friend when i was on my journey and now, she's my cyber spec. AND she's like my mentor because i just became a teacher and she's helped me out so much that it's hard to believe! OOOOOOO-OOOOP CARLA!!!

That is so very sweet of you. I love you like a little sister and that love goes beyond Delta. I am just glad that a lot of my teaching supplies and posters have found a good home. One day I'm going to come watch you have the kids "respect your gangsta." I am proud of you. OOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOP Soror Melody.
