I just thought I would give the inside track from Canada. First of all YES! *gasp* Up north we DO have sororities/Fraternites. I'm sure a lot of you are aware of them! I am a part of a local Sorority .
Our Chapters in Ottawa at Carleton University are:
Frats:
ACACIA
Sigma Pi
Beta Theta Pi
Phi Delta Theta
TKE-Tau Kappa Epsilon
Phi Kapps

To agree with another. Phi Kapp's are not really well liked here. And although we love ever one Fraternity (some more than others) I must say that the two most popular fraternities to date are ACACIA and Sigma Pi.

Yeah, the speedo thing is during initiation or for a crush or spring fling- The way Sig Ep dresses up like pirates for it's. II K A is really, really good here- Fraternity of the yr, biggest, highest GPA, most athletes, etc- Too bad you've had such a bad experience w/ them, they're good guys, although their "Frat boy" imae sometimes suggests othewise...

Well my chapter doesnt have a preference to any in particular. We love everyone!! But i personally have a specific liking to a specific Sig Ep
