Are the local service, social, service/social and social/service (yes I am being facetious) groups still there? Is this being driven by any of them wanting to go national?

Nitpik: CAL = UC Berkeley. All other UCs are UC City Name, not Cal - City Name. (Or using the city initials.)

I know Sigma Chi Delta, the local, is still on campus. I don't think they have any interest in going NPC. This January there was an article in the student paper that Panhellenic or the Greek Life office had voted to form an exploratory committee. The Greek Life director emphasized they were very early in the process. I'll try and link to it later. Warning though, it's got several errors that they later ran corrections for.

Delta Tau Delta's Epsilon Xi Chapter at Western Kentucky University has been suspended, pending further appeals in January 2015.

Closure:
As of August 25th, 2014, the Alpha Xi Delta- Delta Delta Chapter at Northern Michigan University has closed. Due to low recruitment and retention. This is very sad for the NMU community, and as an NMU alumna, I am sad to see this 52 year old chapter close.

They have not announced yet. When I talked to them last they mentioned that they hoped to have chosen finalists for presentation by September.

Alpha Gam's Pi chapter was at Coe. It closed a long time ago -- it'd be great to reinstate it!
(Our Exec Council chairman when I was at Mizzou was a member of Pi Chapter.)

Coe is a great little school and I think any NPC would be happy to be there. It wouldn't surprise me if all 4 closed chapters vie for reinstatement. It will be an interesting fight since all 4 are pretty evenly matched for presence in-state. Alpha Xi Delta definitely has the most chapters, but we're pretty heavily committed right now. And since housing isn't an issue (I don't believe anyway), many other NPCs will probably want in on the action too. I hope we have someone on the boards here who can share details as they present themselves!

I looked at the website and it seems like TPA and PSS gave expansion presentations at the same time last May. It's an extremely new Greek system so I don't think they would bring 2 groups on at once. Maybe something lost in translation somewhere?
