Please accept my sympathies on the passing of your brother.
I'm sure Herff-Jones will be at our Convention next week. I'll ask their rep if they're aware of a standard way to wear/face the ring.

I asked the Herff-Jones rep and she was unaware of any ring direction protocol.

I am so ready to order this to wear to convention next summer. It was stunning on the screen last night, and the photos make it even more so. I told my collegiates last night that it would be a "perfect" thank you gift for being their chapter advisor.

Thank you so very much for asking, nevertheless!

Wow, loving the AOII badge with emeralds! I wonder how many groups will end up making an NPC commemorative badge with emeralds in it-obviously some orgs have policies relating to stones in badges, but if a group used to not have rules against certain stones it seems more likely an exception would be made to celebrate this.
Also, for those who once read my Herff-Jones saga, the HJ plant in Providence, RI has closed down. If I ever have a problem with their repairs again I don't know whose doorstep I'll show up on.

Geez, I hope they aren't outsourcing this stuff overseas. HJ is also closing their Logan, UT, plant that published yearbooks.

Alpha Xi did an emerald quill when we assumed the chairmanship.
Maybe HJ will close entirely and we can all change to a better source that doesn't do such crappy quality work on our badges?

That's the first thing I saw when I saw these badges....oooh, pretty, but oh wait, they're going to be Herff Jones and therefore possibly crappy.

I wish we'd do the same.

And HJ can be crappy but when they made a badge holder for my great grandmother's badge from the 1920s they were great. They took care of the badge and they even phoned me to let me know they were taking care of it! Of course I did include a note when I had to ship it to them that if anything happened to it I would personally cut off their hands. LOL

Our most recent Past International President of Alpha Delta Pi took the following picture while attending an NPC luncheon at the Tri-Delta Convention:
Quoting Tammie Pinkston: "This is the Past President's badge. We receive this as we leave office and it is to be returned to the sorority upon our death. It is very similar to the current IP badge. Where the latter has a double row of diamonds and diamonds in the gavel, the past Ps badge has a row of diamonds and a row of sapphires, with sapphires in the gavel. They are both stunning and I am honored to have been able to wear both!"
