Greek life at UF has grown each year and the houses are bursting at the seams. Tri Delta is the only house that really has room to seat every one at a meal because they just built an amazing new house a few years ago. Delta Zeta is also new but I think even they are unable to accommodate 200 women for a sit down dinner. It is my understanding that there are some new lots that are opening on fraternity row that will be offered to the new house. Right now, Pi Beta Phi is the only house over on fraternity row. It will be nice for them if they have at least one new sorority over there. It will also help with recruitment scheduling. There are also a couple of fraternity houses that are not in use so the new sorority may be able to use one of them while they build.

Darn-was hoping to see ADPi presenting at Oregon because it's an old chapter and I'd love for us to have more of a presence out west but can't say I'm too surprised since we currently have no open chapters in the state. If that chapter ever re-opens I might consider gifting them my opal badge as a president's badge.

Alpha Xi doesn't have any chapters in Oregon at the moment either. But hopefully we'll throw in our hat for UF since we didn't for UNC. I think it would be good for us to be at some bigger schools.
ETA: Both ADPi and Alpha Xi at Oregon are the Alpha Lambda chapters!

The Kent State University chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma has received a 3 year suspension due to RMF.

Since one is a sorority and one is a fraternity it's not really a competition.

I was going to all but guarantee ZTA would beat out Delta Chi for sorority expansion. But I wasn't sure if there were any other sororities up for it that we haven't yet been made aware of.

According to Alpha Phi's Facebook page, we have been selected to colonize at Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ) in the Fall of 2016! Sigma Delta Tau will colonize this Fall 2014 which had already been announced. Congratulations to both groups!
