Congratulations!!!! I am STILL having problems adjusting to it. Although, my finger has. I don't wear it at work (I wash my hands a lot and make smoothies...I don't want anything to happen to it) and it feels weird not having it there.

Until I get home and take it to our jeweler, it's sitting on my index finger. Thankfully, I'm going home next weekend and our guy can resize it on the same day.
It's difficult to adjust to talking about my fiancé instead of my boyfriend. Honestly, though, not even thesis stuff is bringing me down. I only register that I have a lot to do. I'm definitely not complaining about this feeling.

It is funny how everything changes once you get the ring. You can talk about getting married and make all of these plans for life together but the ring just makes it official... I can still remember how I felt when I first got my engagement ring and that was almost 15 years ago.

Dear adorably cute IT guy,
Thank you so much for updating the drivers on my computer.
And installing new anti-virus software.
And installing a more advanced task manager.
And altering my settings to make my computer run faster.
And uninstalling that pesky program that was hindering the other programs from working.
And telling me how to fix my bluetooth problems.
And getting my internet to work again.
And giving me a new Windows 7 CD to replace my defunct one that wouldn't load.
And for the invitation to call/e-mail/"hell just swing by, you know where my office is."
BBD lied. Big butt & a smile, ftw.

This past weekend was a trip. I met this girl on PoF a few months ago, but our schedules kept conflicting so this past weekend we finally were able to meet each other in person for the first time. Date started off cool. She looked like she did in the picture ..nice body, pretty face, the whole hook up. I don't know if it's just me or is it rude to order high end from the menu? I was cool, and I was okay with the expensive plate of food, but she ordered a lot of drinks with it. We both had some wine, but she ordered some other drinks which added up. I've gone on a lot of dates, but I never had a bill that added up to $70.00 dollars. After dinner we went to the movie like we planned, so my date was basically over $100.00. I'm a gentleman, so I I think it's cool to pay for the date, and for the girl to get what she wants. But is it rude to order up high end food and drinks? Especially knowing we got other plans too. I'm thinking that maybe I'm looking into this way too hard, because I don't know if I want to hook up with her like that again for a minute. I don't mind hanging out at the crib or doing something that doesn't cost a lot of money. I just don't know if she's one of those high maintenace females.

I touched on this in your other thread. Bia needs to learn how to drink like a grownup instead of like a teenager that has every episode of Sex & the City memorized. Especially if she had wine. There's no call to drink that much on a first date, especially a PoF first date.

Some random things:
Is it bad that I'd rather have concert tickets than flowers or Kay Jewelers necklaces?
Overheard in my class (mixed with undergrads): "I've had my entire wedding planned out since 8th grade." -- a college senior.
Really?
I shudder at wearing/wanting anything/caring about anything I ever wanted in 8th grade 10 years ago.
I mean, in 8th grade I thought I was destined to marry a Backstreet Boy or something.
