Exactly Sciencewoman!
As I recall there were like 5 soda selections and 3 beers? We had to pay for that big screen tv some way!

Our chapter had a kegerator built in an old Snapple machine so that when nationals came by, they couldn't see it.

Husband's house had one machine for soft drinks and one for beer. And yes, it paid for a "big screen" (36" console in a big cabinet) TV. Big for its time, anyway. When you own the machines you can stock it with whatever you want.

LOL. I'm going to ask my TTKA brother-in-law if they had one at the Florida chapter house....

I was actually picturing a "fountain drink" style machine that dispensed free beer, not a coin-operated machine. I could see where the coin-op machine would provide some revenue. I love the Snapple/kegerator conversion.

Wondering if any chapters had/have espresso-coffee machines; the ones that brew various kinds of beverages at the press of a button. That's something I would've loved to have.
