2014/2015 Colonies/Expansions/Charters/Closures

Two weekends ago Kappa Sigma installed its Tau-Mu Chapter at Capital University, and last weekend installed its Tau-Nu Chapter at Marshall University. Congratulations to these two newest Kappa Sig chapters.

Is Alpha Phi still on for University of California-San Diego? I have it from a previous list about stacked colonizations. (I'll try and find the year.)

It was announced in '13-'14 that Alpha Phi would colonize UCSD in Spring '16.

• Round 1 Part 2* August 28th
• Open House/Non-Invitational September 8th & 10th
• Invitational Interviews/Personal Meetings September 11th- 14th
• Invitational Events September 14th & 16th

Our Alpha Chi colony (Mississippi State) was re-installed tonight. The colony held the charter signing and banquet tonight to coincide with the chapters original chartering date, April 30, 1938. Initiations were performd this past weekend. Welcome back brothers!! #PKT46

WUSTL Panhel originally said they would select a group by April 30. I think they're now saying end of spring semester. If they don't announce on Friday, they will announce in the next two weeks.

Gamma Phi Beta has closed their chapter at Bowling Green State University(OH). Closure is due to low membership numbers.

Kappa Alpha Order at Emory University(GA) has been suspended for 3 years. Suspension is due to RMF.

There's a GCer-I think candygirl or something like that?-who is a member of this chapter and had posted about their recruitment triumphs and struggles. So sorry to hear that her chapter is closing.

Wittenberg (OH) and Rutgers (NJ) are open for expansion

And Alpha Gamma Delta, Sigma Delta Tau and Delta Phi Epsilon will be presenting at Kent State (confirmed by Kent State FSL twitter)

And Sigma Delta Tau, Phi Sigma Sigma and Sigma Sigma Sigma will be presenting at Miami of Ohio

Bummer. I remember reading GammaPhiAud's "other side of recruitment" threads with interest. I made a donation a couple of years ago to help with their recruitment and bid day activities; I'm sad to hear that they're closing. It's also our international president's chapter.

That's who it was! I couldn't remember specifically but I loved how she was so honest about their struggles and how she loved her chapter despite it. Hopefully they can make a strong comeback in a few years.
