Question DTD at UGA

My boyfriend is an alum of the chapter at Univ. of Georgia and he told me something about a reunion of sorts there since it will be the chapter's 125th anniversary. Does anyone know about this event coming up in the next few weeks? He wants me to attend the festivities with him but I have no clue about it and it sounds like he doesn't know much either! And of course, being a girl, I'd like to know what to wear, etc after the game at the actual celebration. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Check this link:

http://www.uga.edu/georgiadelts/

Other than both of our chapters being in towns called Athens and both being old established ones (Beta Chapter at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio founded in 1862 for me), I don't know much about your boyfriends chapter.

I hope this helps a little.

Best,
DeltAlum

The 125th Anniversary Celebration for Beta Delta was awesome. I had a lot of fun and BF got to meet the int'l president ("Rock" I think his name is). The brothers gave him a standing ovation for serving our country and we went out with a few brothers to a bar in Athens and didn't pay for a single drink. Every Delt I met was very nice and I had a great time. However, Rock did overhear a brother talking about hazing and he was none too pleased. That chapter really needs to watch itself since it just reopened....

On a side note, the celebration was held at the same place that DZ was arrested for cocaine possession just an hour after we left and another fraternity's celebration was still going on...

Glad you had a good time.

The International President is indeed Dr. "Rock" Clinton. Good guy.

It's great to be a Delt!
