It's not just schools, but police departments. I read an article a few weeks ago about how officers have bullied and interrogated victims (yes, bulled and interrogated VICTIMS of sexual assault) into admitting that an assault didn't take place. Some were actually charged with filing a false report. In all of these cases, the police eventually found the men who assaulted these women after even more assaults had occurred, and the police had to go back and tell these women they f***ed up.
Heck, look at the apologizing that's taken place following the Larry Nassar case. A woman put in a complaint in
2004 and her case was swept to the side. There are so many young women who later became victims, and it potentially could have been prevented.
