Recruitment Tshirt Ideas

My chapter is trying to come up with a cute recruitment tshirt for fall...and we would like to do like a "klassic kappa" theme with a picture of audrey hepburn on the front. But the problem is that we can't think of a cute quote to put on it....

Any ideas would be appreciated! Thank you.

Keke

Maybe you could do a take-off on one of her movies or one of the songs from her movies:

My Fair Kappa (My Fair Lady)
On the Street Where You Live: Would work well if y'all are a housed chapter and could reword it to say the NMs are going to be living at the Kappa house.
I'm Getting Married in the Morning: Something about getting a bid in the morning or being a Kappa on Bid Day would work.

Bid Day at KKG (Breakfast at Tiffany's)
Moon River: Couldn't think of anything, but this is the song I think of when I think of that movie.

Paris When It Sizzles } Just thought these were
Roman Holiday } workable titles

Some of her other well-known movies wouldn't translate well to welcoming NMs, like Funny Face! Do a Google search, and you'll find a list of her movies.

Good luck!

I know you were going for the Audrey theme, but MSKKG's "Breakfast at Tiffany's" reference got me thinking...

You could do robin's egg blue (light blue/green) teeshirts, and put:

Kappa & Co.
1870

underneath it, in the same font as the "Tiffany & Co." logo.

(If you make these tshirts, can I buy one off of you???)

And I said, "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember the film, and
As I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's one thing we've got."

I can't remember the song, but it was within the last few years and this was the chorus. :-)

My second idea is to have "Kappa-a Klassic since 1870"

I do love the "Kappa & Co" idea though!!!

Ohh! I like this one, too! Maybe we can pitch the idea to the Key Source so we all can buy one!

Also, there's a tshirt I designed for a chapter I used to advise, based on the UPS commercials.

It has the UPS logo, but instead of saying "UPS" it says "KKG," with a fleur-de-lis in the place of the usual tied bow.

The slogan says, "What Can Blue Do For You?" (a play on UPS' slogan, "What Can Brown Do For You?"

If you want to see the graphic, let me know and I can email it to you!

(KeKe, I realize this shirt idea doesn't exactly go along with the Klassy Kappa theme, but I thought I'd offer it, just the same.)

Kind of along those lines, EK (Univ. of South Carolina) had T-shirts for the actives to wear around campus during Recruitment Week. The slogan was "Would the Blue and Blue Look Good On You?" If my poor ole brain remembers correctly, the T-shirts were light blue with a darker blue for the words.

OK.... back to Keke's original question.

Keke, have you seen these Audrey tshirt designs on eBay? Both of them are very classy/stylish. Maybe this will help jumpstart your tshirts?

(the first one is my fave...and it comes in so many colors!!!)

Here are some lines from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" that you could maybe adapt for your skit/theme:

"Poor cat (PNM)! Poor slob! Poor slob without a name (home)! The way I see it I haven't got the right to give him one. We don't belong to each other. We just took up one day by the river (Recruitment sign-up desk). I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's (Kappa)."--Holly
"Tiffany's (Kappa)? You mean the jewelry store (sorority)?"--Paul
"That's right. I'm just CRAZY about Tiffany's (Kappa)!"--Holly

"Listen...you know those days when you get the mean reds?" --Holly.
"The mean reds? You mean like the blues?" --Fred.
"No... the blues are because you're getting fat or because it's been raining too long. You're just sad, that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?" --Holly.
"Sure." --Fred.
"When I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump into a cab and go to Tiffany's (Kappa). Calms me down right away." --Holly.

Holly Golightly: Don't you just love it?
Paul Varjak: Love what?
Holly Golightly: Tiffany's! (Kappa)

"If I could find a real life place to make me feel like Tiffany's (Kappa), then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name." --Holly.

"No matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself."--Paul

At my chapter a couple years ago we did a kappa & co bid day shirt. it said
Kappa & Co.
est 1870

on the front and then on the back it said:
"now presenting our spring selections"

you could put "fall selections" if you do fall rush. they're really cute! we all love them!
