Reinstatement
I have a wonderful friend who I learned resigned from Delta Gamma as an undergraduate due to some internal politics. She doesn't know I am asking this - but does Delta Gamma allow for reinstatement, and if so, how would she begin the process? Thank you!

I have no idea if there are ever exceptations made, but currently when a sister severs her bonds of membership, she is very well informed that she can never again join a Delta Gamma chapter or any other chapter of NPC. I think it's sometimes a little sad because I know some women who are in the same situation as your friend. Sometimes, however, they still love DG and would have made wonderful alumnae - if only they'd stuck it out! I guess it was their own choice though.

That's a shame. Her two daughters are active Tri-Delts, and she has a new granddaughter, so I think it has been on her mind. Thanks for answering the question - Delta Gamma is really missing out! I found out her story when I inquired about AI - I'd love to have her for a sister (sigh).

Sorry to crash, but is your friend a Tri Psi, since her daughters are Tri Delts? That would be a good way to get her involved in Greek life again...

Thanks - I hadn't thought of that!

To the original poster: I honestly don't know. I think that's a question best answered by the EO staff, or by the Officers of the Fraternity.

Yes, there is now a procedure though it does not guarantee that she will be approved. It was voted in at Convention last year in Orlando.
Have her contact vpmembership@deltagamma.org for details on the procedure.

It is a shame. She's really missing out, too! Thanks for the update though, Titchou. I didn't know that!
