Where will you be this New Year's Eve?

We're going to Pat O'Brien's for dinner, hurricanes and live music. Then we'll head towards the Tower of the Americas to watch the fireworks. Afterwards we're going to the Menger hotel bar (built in 1859) for a nightcap and to look for ghosts

It is good to know that someone else is not a New Years' party person. I haven't not been to one since I was 18 and my best friend dragged me to one. That was 7 years ago. Ever since, I either just watch the ball drop or sleep through the whole thing. Tonight I will be asleep because I am just not in the mood for it. haha...I feel like Debbie Downer.

Sit out by the fire on the patio.

Like Hurricanes a lot!

We're just going to a neighborhood party.

Staying off the streets.

Too many amateurs out there.

We're already home from dinner in mid-town. Steaks, wine, key lime pie...YUM.
The police were out in full force, even a few aves away from Times Square. We had to prove we had a resy for dinner, then my bag was searched and we both had a security check like at the airport. THEN a police officer escorted us from the checkpoint to the door of the restaurant. But dinner was great, well worth the effort.
We've got champagne and beautiful champagne flutes that were my mother in laws for a toast in a few hours. I'm glad to be away from the madness of amateur night!!

Mr SageofAges and I will be celebrating in a quiet sort of personal way . We were "officially" introduced on a NYE 20 years ago. Twenty amazing wonderful years as he keeps saying all day today.

The Asti is chilled and the music is on......

What a fantastic guy!

here, at home, safe, warm with blanket.
everybody I know is either:
in Boise, at Fresno State game
with partner/significant other---right now, am in an between stage and don't see New Year's eve as night for a casual date
at my brother's party at his place near Rose Parade route. Everyone stays up most of night, crashes for awhile, then off to the parade. Considered that, but am coming down with a cold
or, at home, also.

I woke up at 12:23 a.m. to the sound of people screaming from their balcony and tons of fireworks that scared the crap out of me. A drunk guy was singing Backstreet Boys at the top of his lungs from the next building. It was so loud that I could knew what song it was because I heard every word.
