Rutgers to require covid vaccine for students

I’m not familiar with the NJ state owned school system, but being that it is a public university, how is this legal? Also, what will be proof of vaccination - a paper card?

TX public universities already require the meningitis vaccine - it's really no different than public schools below the college level requiring vaccination.

I see no problem with it. In college, we were required to get a measles "booster".

Also, college is a choice and where you attend college is a choice. If a student doesn't want the shot, they have options to attend another school.

It's legal because states can regulate public health.

Here's a case:

My son's university (state school) required a flu shot this year. They use a medical service called MedProctor and you upload the shot record into it. I assume with a COVID shot you just upload a PDF of the vaccination card.

If you didn't get a shot, you weren't allowed to access any of the campus buildings (including dining halls).
