Must say, I did a better job with my oil less air cooker on the fries!
Getting HOT again, so ham and cheese with tomato sandwich and baked beans on the side.
Going to have to get out my last lb. of bacon soon!
Why has bacon not gone down, ARG, UGH!

We're on vacation and went to a recommended barbeque place tonight -- it was the best BBQ I've ever had! The ribs were great and the chicken was falling off the bone. Nummy!

Once again, guess I am the only one cooking?
Pork loin steak, mashed taters and pork gravy!

It's summer, and I tend to eat brunch early in the day when temps are cooler. Eating a large meal after 230pm really leaves me feeling full; it's not easy to go outdoors in the heat and walk-off a big dinner before bedtime.
When I must, a gentle evening snack (a few carrots or one hard boiled egg or chips and milk) tides me over until morning.
It's also easy to have a shake or cold V8 juice as a 'meal' when its this hot outdoors.

Cheerio, LOL, you eat like I do, but I call it linner! Early breakfast and linner @ 2-2/3 P M.
Will be thinking what sounds good later on. For my evening snack, B B Q pork skins and Junior Mints for that salty and sweet taste off set!

Just a smidge cooler, but while I fired up the stove, I turned the A C on!!! Dumb, maybe, LOL!
But had chicken leg quarters thawing so got to have made a choice. One side shake n bake, the other BBQ. Shake n bake first as left over not as good as BBQ. So, making mashed taters with white gravy for shake n bake! Hey one day of a bit of suffering for 2 days of meals.
Dine well my FRIENDS~!

Homemade guacamole (by me, only 4 ingredients), homemade salsa (by the local mexican place) and chips.

Tonight's menu: eggplant parmigiana, crusty sourdough w/ irish sweet cream butter, tossed garden salad w/ arugula, pine nuts, and whatever assorted in season fresh vegetables I feel like throwing in the bowl. Dessert is blueberries and either fro-yo or ice cream.
would like to find some fresh patty-pan squash. Side note: starting to collect ripe tunas for prickly pear juice, jam, jelly. Those screams you hear are me removing the glochids (those teeny tiny thorns, there is no escaping them despite all efforts to avoid those miserable suckers). Going to teach friends how to preserve the fruit. Messy, but fun and so worth it.
