Our subdivsion (smart people the the homeowners are) decided to advertise trick or treat for last night (Sat) and put "Residents Only"...

Now if you're a kid (especially some of the older kids we got...teenagers and even PARENTS [yes, the parents were trick-or-treating with their 3 yr olds, not just supervising, but acutally participating]), knowing that you can go trick or treating 2 nights in a row is a little sign saying "Residents only" going to stop you? NO! We didn't recognize 3/4 of the kids that came by...it was a 2 hour event and we had to make a candy run 45 minutes in...and we started off with $10 worth of candy for a subdivision of 3 streets totaling 2 miles.

PS...when my dad went to the store for more candy he came back with Snickers Fun size, Mini Snickers, and Snickers Crunch...can't tell what his favorite is can you?

Our city's trick or treat is THREE hours long, from 1 to 4 in the afternoon.

Just 1/2 hour to go and I have soooooo much candy left. I've been letting every kid pick three, and they seem to favor the Nerds, Bottle Caps, and Twizzlers over the chocolate (good) stuff.

Oh, my co-workers are going to love me tomorrow when my candy hits the break room.

Oooo! We just got back from Valdosta, GA, where trick or treating was last night. A friend suggested we go trick or treating in this certain subdivision and oh wow, those people knew how to decorate! Smoke machines, orange lights, giant balloons, all kinds of special effects..I am soooo impressed!

In years past, I loved sitting on the porch giving out candy while Mr. KR took the girls trick or treating. This is our first Halloween in the new house, though, and it's been a disappointment for me. Not nearly as many kids and instead of the parents staying for a few minutes to chat before going onto the next house, most of them have been jabbering away on cell phones and don't even say thank you. Snotty!

Milk Duds, Kit Kats, Tootsie roll pops, and 100grands. We usually get 120 kids or so but it has been very slow this year.... Don't know where all the kids went!

Nothing. I live on the 2nd floor, but it's up 4 flights of stairs. There aren't any kids in our lil complex either. If someone came up here, I'd throw a shoe at them! lol j/p. I'd want to give them something if they went through all the trouble of coming all the way up here.

I am sitting on the floor in the entry way-with the laptop handing out candy. We are giving out M&ms, Butterfingers, Skittles, 3 Musteteers, Whistle pops, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Jelly Lifesavers and gum.
I bought enough for 140 kids, we usually have 80. It is rainy out and I am almost outta candy. It won't be long before I shut the door and turn off the lights. There have been carloads of kids-- I swear they are being bused in from other neighborhoods.
As far as the parents-- I have had a couple of parents Trick or Treating also. One guy stood there with his bag out and glared-- I said "you have to be at least my age" his response was "yup- but i need candy too" Dumb ass-- go to the f'in Walmart 1 mile from here and buy yourself a bag!!!
But I pass candy out every year while my hubby takes the boys around the neighborhood.
