Recruitment Story!

Hi! I have read so many recruitment stories on GC that I can’t help but want to share mine when I go through recruitment in less than a month! I wanted some advice on posting though; should I post daily updates or wait until the end of recruitment to post? Thanks!

Create a word doc and update "that" daily. After rush is over post it in its entirety. That way you have recorded your fresh thoughts and experiences ( that you can go back and review during rush) while remaining anonymous to your campus. At the same time, we get to share in your excitement and joy after the fact and can read it from start to conclusion in one go. Many of us get a little put out when PNMs stringing us along posting their stories one post a day when their recruitment is over. We lose interest and you lose a majority of your audience.

^ What FSUZeta said.

It's not unlikely that there are collegians at your school who frequent this board and who will read what you post (positive or negative) during recruitment. Even if you use code names, they can figure out who's who, and this can work against you.

If I were you, I would:
- Not identify the school until after recruitment
- Hold your full story until after recruitment. (Whether you choose to post it all at once or spread your posts out over several days is up to you. Unlike FSUZeta, I prefer the latter - suspense is fun!)
- Not identify any sorority by name, other than the sorority you join, if you do join one

Be yourself, good luck, and have fun!
