Okay, since she has been busy, my friend will be known here as USChica06. Lucky is the sorority who pledges her!

I just did a search at University of Southern California, and it didn't list the multi-cultural sororities. The ones mentioned were:

ADP
AEF
AF
ACW
GFB
DG
DDD
KAQ
KKG
PBF
CW

Of course, she's way ahead of me, and already knows a few ladies in a few of the houses. It will be hard for me to contain myself!!

She probably did, but it's honey....she makes mistakes like that.

HI EVERYONE!!! I'm that random friend of honey's that she's gone on about for 2 pages or so. I have been extremely busy with school (last day was today, happy dance in celebration of me!) so I couldn't get to posting at all.

I'm rushing in the Fall of 03 but only after a not so good rush experience in the Fall of 02. But, I believe things happen for a reason and that it just wasn't my time to go Greek.

Even though I am beyond Greek...seen the movie? It's my life...

I corrected that just to say the ones I'll be rushing. I actually haven't heard of some of those that honey had listed as being on campus. Weirdness! We have those 9 as the Pan-Hel sororities.

There she is, folks, Bethany - star of message boards everywhere!

I corrected the G - I had a little trouble with the thetas & the omegas and got out of hand! Also, I was using a two-year-old list, so maybe a couple groups went off campus?

Anyhow, if there was anyone good for weaving a story or two, we got her! Sit back & get ready to laugh...!!

I just looked at the calendar to see exactly when rush is for next semester, and they're having parties at 9:30 Sunday morning. This means I have to miss church, but that's ok. Missing one Sunday won't kill me. It is usual to have parties n the morning? I'm glad they're having it before the school starts. That way I don't have to worry about being exhausted from school and work when I get there. I'm already saving to go shopping for some new clothes...

Well, Lovely MSKKG, it was my Grandma, but that's close enough, isn't it? My own mama got married very young & missed her chance at Kappa. In her defense, she DID have a key in my room since I was an itty bitty girl!

I'm looking forward to seeing Bethany's posts - she's really a skilled writer! AND, I am going to do my very best to be Panhellenic about this - if it KILLS me!!

Wink

Honeychile! You are funny! I know how hard it is to be "Panhellenic" about these things! You are not alone in your efforts!

See, but what she's REALLY thinking is....

"Hmm...I can be Pan-Hellenic on this board and completley ADPi's propaganda princess on that other message board we go on."

I'm on to you honey...

I know what you feel. I wasn't given a bid last year either. But make your decision on what you want to do.

If you think it'd be fun, go for it.

If you think you wouldn't like what you'd be getting into, then don't.

I've convinced a lot of girls to rush (ok, like 3, but I'm making a point, okay? ) based on the idea that you'll get out and meet people. There's no harm in doing that. And if you don't get a bid, then you've lost nothing, but you may have gained a friend.

Megerts, please reconsider. USChica06 has some good points. May I add my own 2¢? I rushed as a freshman, and our Rho Chi group got SO close that, even though we all pledged different sororities - or none at all in one case - we stayed friends throughout college.

Look at it this way: Can you really afford NOT to make some other friends?
