Not for sure if Alpha Chi Omega is coming on this Spring or not. It was my understanding that all 3 groups who presented will eventually colonize. I'm not for sure of the order except KD is scheduled for Fall of 2011.

At University at Buffalo Theta Phi Alpha, Delta Delta Delta and Alpha Sigma Alpha have submitted packets to absorb local Delta Xi Omega.

Question asked, question answered.
Kappa Delta was invited to colonize at UNC-Charlotte; Alpha Chi Omega was invited to colonize at UNC-Wilmington.

Oops, you're right. Sorry

Was this the organization featured in Sorority Life years ago?

You've got FIU listed as getting a Delta Tau Delta colony, I'm not sure about that. I'm at FAU right up the road and haven't heard anything nor is there anything on our national website about it. Not doubting you, but could you cite a source?

I'm thinking that I might have accidently typed Florida International instead of Florida Institute of Technology. Since they just got chartered, it was supposed to be FIT, not FIU. I will change it. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh, crap. I got University at Buffalo and Buffalo State mixed up. Not to mention Buffalo State-Amherst.

On December 4th ThetaPrincess24 reported that "Kappa Sigma has been formally recognized by Eastern Kentucky University Greek Life/IFC as an official fraternity on campus (was not the case until last month)."
The colony was formally installed as Rho-Xi Chapter of Kappa Sigma this past weekend.

Would it really be a recolonization because they would be absorbing a local?

I'm pretty sure that the current Phi Mu chapter at Shorter was from one of the longtime locals, and their chapter designation is Nu....which means they were a recolonization of a super old chapter.

I wonder how they would do the history write ups. They would essentially have 2 histories right?

Wow Tri Delta is interested in a SUNY school! I'm super excited about this! I hope this means they are looking into more schools in New York (and closer to Long Island please!).

Yep, pretty much. It would probably just say along the lines of "in so and so year the Pi Pi chapter was colonized, the local sorority D Xi O became the recolonized Pi Pi chapter."
As far as whatever D Xi O would do to preserve D Xi O history...that's really their chapter concern, not ASA's concern as a national entity.
Edit: Wrong school, but valid discussion.
