Geraldo Rivera Greek Heritage Park at University of Arizona
WAIT! I promise this isn't spam.
Can't locate a link to the University of Arizona press release, but here's a snippet which includes a link to a video:
To commemorate the heritage and collective achievements of Greek Life at the University of Arizona over the past century, famed journalist Geraldo Rivera and his wife, Erica, have donated $500,000 for the construction of the Greek Heritage Park.
The park, to be constructed near First Street and Cherry Avenue in Tucson, will serve as a functional center in the heart of the Greek Village for chapter and community events, fund development and donor recognition. The space will honor more than 50,000 UA Greek alumni and the 90 organizations that have been a part of the UA Greek community since 1915.
"It really is something that I find tremendous pride in honoring, in remembering and now in helping to perpetuate that century-long tradition of Greek life at the University of Arizona," said Rivera, a member of the Class of 1965, a Tau Delta Phi member and 2015 recipient of the Order of Omega Greek Hall of Fame Award. (Rivera and other UA Greek alumni spoke about their time at the UA in this video).
An avid philanthropist, Rivera raises millions of dollars to aid various causes, including education and the care and treatment of people with autism.
Tucson Alumnae Panhellenic has purchased a brick for the park. Many events have been planned for Homecoming (weekend of October 22-24).
