I think she's pretty. I wanted her or Miss Hawaii to win. So, I'm glad they were the top 2.

Miss Maryland was totally robbed. How did Miss Wisconsin rank above her? I liked how the audience booed her results... that made me happy. She gave a great (and intelligent!) answer during her interview (the one about private school money and education), did well during the gameshow, had a great personality, the best talent (I'm sorry- Florida made my ears hurt! eep!), a beautiful dress and a cute bathing suit (definitely wasn't a fan of her casual wear outfit- but hey, she won that one!). I liked her. Everyone else seemed to REALLY like her also (that creepy announcer dude was all over her!).

Virginia was cute, too. But she totally blew it with her neon yellow bathing suit and her pink leather-looking evening gown. I thought she and Maryland both had great, fun personalities, though.

I liked Florida over Hawaii, though. Looooved Florida's dress. My only problem with her was her talent, but apparently the judges liked it. We were NOT fans. But I was definitely happy for her. Her reaction was priceless- they couldn't even hold her still to put the crown on!

I was rooting for Miss Hawaii and Miss Maryland... and I too can't believe Miss Wisconsin placed higher than Miss Maryland-- Miss Wisconsin did awful in the quiz (though only worth 5%) and was not articulate in her answer. But she could actually play an instrument, which stood out from the rest who sang. Miss California was an awful singer. In the end I was hoping Miss Hawaii would somehow win though she hadn't won any competitions and Miss Florida had won 2... though I do think Miss Florida had that "it" about her, like you could see her being Miss America.

I think the reason Maryland did so poorly in the Interview category was she never really answered the question. She gave a great answer for the opposite of the question, but she never gave a good answer to the real question. The key in these things is to answer the question as it is given, not adjust it to your views.

I thought she DID answer the question (and quite well too). The question was, if I remember correctly, something like: "Under what conditions would you support private school vouchers?"
She said something like"I could not or would not support private school vouchers under any circumstances and went on to explain why. To me the question was akin to asking a pro-lifer if their daughter was raped by a mentally challenged convict of another race would they support her getting an abortion.

What was your take on the question/her answer?
