Need Ideas-Sisterhood Events
Hello!
I need some good ideas for sisterhood events for my chapter. They need to be different from just getting together to watch Grey's Anatomy, do you know what I mean? What are some events that have worked well in your chapters?
Thanks!

I did a search for sisterhood events and found this thread:

My chapter really likes seasonal events; we do pumpkin and apple picking, hockey games, beach trips, and all sorts of different things depending on the season. Think about what you may do with your friends or family during a certain season, and do it with your chapter

Retreats are always good, in the case you want to just bond, and possible learn something new. Workshops (about the org or other topics) go well for us, too.
A book club is fun & fairly easy to organize. I also think GammaPhi88 was right on target with seasonal events.
Hope this helps!

Since my sorority doesn't have a house, a lot of time I invite sisters over for an old-fashioned sleepover like when we were younger. We do makeovers and play those silly games from like middle school. It's a lot of fun, the only problem is that not every sister comes because some just really love to sleep in their own beds. Also, something small we do is make sure everyday sisters are texting other sisters when they eat on campus. It's not a huge deal, but I know lots of times I plan on grabbing lunch on the go, but when I get a text or call from a sister I will go and eat with her. A lot of times I end up eating with sisters that I don't get to see as often.

sisterhood stuff
Hi,
My local doesn't have a house either, and we of course have to operate a lot out of girls' houses/apartments. It really does make the atmosphere really intimate. However we also take advantage of the local town (Charlottesville, VA) to find fun events where we can bond, have fun, and see each other in different settings. Sometimes the change in pace will keep girls interested.
Phi Sig...you all are a national, correct? how do you like operating without a house? What do you do for chapter and things like that? I'm just curious, since we don't have a national yet and our university won't help us get Greek housing until then...

Yes, we are national. I don't mind not having a house, but I would really love to see us some day get a house. Chapter meetings and events are held on campus, which makes it difficult sometimes to get space. Even though I come from a large university space isn't always available. Once we didn't get space for one night of informal recruitment and it was held in my apartment. Not ideal conditions, but we make the most of it.

Something that always worked well for my chapter was board game nights, we would have all kinds of games from little kids ones that we'd dug out from our parents basements to new cool party games that get everyone yelling and excited.
