It's a wonderful campus with motivated, driven students. Is the administration giving you all housing right away?

Curious where the housing is going to be. When I was there (1986-1990) all of the Sorority housing was very close together (sort of large townhouses grouped 3 & 2 over top of some university runs stores. Chi Omega left not longer after and eventually I think Alpha Chi Omega ended up in their place. A sixth sorority would have housing that would be at best somewhat different.

Most if not all of the Panhel groups have moved to the fraternity quadrangle across from Morewood Gardens. Kappa is in the house that housed Theta Xi during my era and I believe that Theta is in the old DTD house.

Pardon the crash; I'm a DG from CMU (though many, many, many moons ago). Congratulations on your selection.
It is wonderful to see how sorority life has grown on campus to the need for a sixth group.
CMU sorority housing has been a single dorm floor in Morewood Gardens (we were 6D), then the townhouses that naraht references, and now I think all the sororities are in houses that were once fraternity houses. The houses are not the motivators for most women there, however, so even a "different" housing situation will probably not dampen enthusiasm.
I'll be watching the thread and wishing you well!

Alpha Phi's colony recruitment will be held October 4-10, 2012. How fun it ends on October 10 which is our Founder's Day!

Iota Sigma chapter of Alpha Phi was installed today at CMU. From the picture, it looks like we have over 60 women!
