Welcome Alphielove!

Out of curiousity, when were you initiated?

I love hearing about legacies!

Enjoy ASU!

Welcome to all of the newbies - especially the newly-initiated! Please take a moment and read the "pinned" posts at the top of the Forum when you have a moment, and don't be afraid to dive on in on the fun.

One thing I want to remind all ADPis is that everyone on GreekChat can read anything we post in our Forum. Should you have a secret or ritual question, please take it to PM - texas*princess and I are usually available on a regular basis.

Again, WELCOME!!

1. College or University
2. ADPi Chapter
3. Collegian or Alumnae
4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held
5. Why you joined ADPi

-------------------------------------------
1. University of Tennessee at Martin
2. Delta Upsilon
3. Collegian
4. New member committee
5. When I went through rush I knew when I walked into the room that Alpha Delta Pi was the sorority for me. All the young women in the chapter are so wonderful and diverse.
6. Wow. I'm only a freshman but my favorite memory so far would be performing in the step show. We didn't win but we showed them that the ladies of Alpha Delta Pi can put on a kickin show and be classy!

1. Indiana University
2. Beta Alpha
3. Collegian
4. Nothing so far :[ but I am really looking to start an athletics/intramural chair, as we don't have one currently
5. I went through formal and things didn't go as planned, but I knew I still wanted to be Greek. ADPi emailed me about informal and I went over to the house several times and realized that it was a completely different feel than when I went through for formal, and that was when I fell in love
6. My favorite ADPi memory so far has got to be a tie between just hanging out with the girls, initiation, and little 500 quals! I imagine that the actual week of the race will top all of these though, and so many more memories are left to be made

6. My Alpha Ceremony, before that night I had no idea what it was all about, after that night I never wanted to stop finding out.
That's how I felt, too

1. The University of Kansas
2. Tau
3. Collegian- Alpha member!
4. No positions held...yet!
5. I knew I loved ADPi during the first invitational round of rush. After visiting 12 other sororities and speaking with a jillion other girls, I could tell that my convos at ADPi were not forced, and we talked about random funny subjects. I was so happy that I consistently spoke with the same women each day, and they all made me feel more and more welcome!
6. It's not going to be my favorite memory whatsoever, but I thought this was pretty interesting! I will probably never forget going to the student health center for the first time. Here at KU right now, as many of you know, we have many cases of H1N1. So, after feeling sick for a few days, I went down to the health center to get checked out. I knew a lot of girls became sick as a result of recruitment (shaking hands, etc), but while I was waiting in the lobby, I ended up meeting 5 of my new sisters (We have a really large house, so its hard to meet everyone the first day)! It was a different way of meeting new people, and I hope that's not how it happens next time!

My chapter at TCU is going through the same thing right now with Swine Flu, as are pretty much all of the sororities. Welcome to ADPi and take care of yourself

3. I'm a baby Alpha
4. None...yet
5. I loved the sisters I met in recruitment, and I felt like they loved me, too!
6. I was not in ADPi when this happened, but it's my favorite moment, so far: the night before bid day, I had a terrible case of nerves, and called my gamma chi to ask her what she did to stay calm when she rushed. She invited me to work out and talk with her, which I gladly agreed to. After having had such wonderful conversations with her all week--especially that night--finding out the was an ADPi on bid day, and getting to hear her talk about how much she had wanted me to end up as her sister is my favorite moment right now.

Oh, that is too cool, txpacer! Violets to your Gamma Chi!

I just love it when someone with a Recruitment thread or from Jill1228's count down thread shows up in our Forum! Jill1228 is ALWAYS welcome to our Forum, because she's just too fine! And so are you, txpacer!
