At my school, the minimum for any Greek organization was a 2.5 (based solely on college courses, not high school). Some GLOs maintained this as their minimum, some raised it to about a 3.0 or so.

Statistically, most members' GPAs actually increase slightly after joining. (Although I've known a couple of people who dropped out of pledging because it was affected their GPA negatively). Anyways, most chapters will put you on some type of academic probabtion & require X number of study hours/week ,etc. until your GPA is up to par.
