On Monday night, Vanderbilt University administrators suspended new member education for Interfraternity Council chapters until further notice due to concerns about hazing during IFC fraternities' pledge activities.
According to Director of Greek Life Kristin Shorter, the concerns and complaints that have been placed to a variety of university offices and the hazing hotline, . . . , led the Office of the Dean of Students to temporarily suspend all new member education related activities.
Shorter said each IFC chapter has until Wednesday morning to present a revised plan for new member education, after which a lift on the suspension will be considered . . . “
