Congratulations to Chi Phi at Penn State. They recolonized their Alpha Delta chapter this past weekend.

Sigma Chi at Wisconsin – Madison has been suspended through the end of the academic year. Violation of a university Code of Conduct is given as the reason (alcohol violation). NBC affiliate WMTV has a brief story.

I have it on good authority there were a few more than that. Not all of the women who accepted bids were able to be there for the picture (assuming that's where you got the number!)

This is interesting because Pike is the only national group that has been at Trinity in recent years. Trinity has a long-standing tradition of locals so it was highly controversial when Pike was allowed to charter there.

Welcome back to another Alpha sorority! Good riddance to the Alpha curse. Maybe we'll all be back there soon.

I'm pretty sure UMass Amherst isn't open for expansion. They've had a very steady number of women over the past almost 10 years since DZ left. I also advise there and have not heard anything about being open or even considering it. (but I could always be wrong)

UMass Amherst is definitely open, and I've heard that both AST and Tri-Sigma are presenting too.

Is the local group being asked to choose an NPC group for affiliation?

I don't see that happening. IGU has stronger numbers this year than previously. Their alumnae own their property outright and they have a pretty strong tradition and history for a local. I'm not sure that any national group would be a good fit. Then again apparently I was wrong about being open for expansion, so what do I know. lol

Where have we seen that University of Massachusetts is open/ who is presenting? This seems super weird to me as 2 chapters are really struggling right now, there is no available housing, and one chapter lost its house within the last few years.
