How do I not make any sense? Somebody says something you don't agree with and you tell them to shut up instead of defending your point of view?

If you married a chick, what would you do if you hated her family, but she wanted to spend time with her family for the holidays? Do you go with her and deal with it, or do you let her spend time with hers and you with yours?

Yes - thank you. They live in a tiny little village in the mountains, about an hour south of San Andres-Tuxlta, Veracruz, Mexico. It was beautiful there. I'll post pictures when I get them uploaded.

He's banned, and so not work the snarkage expenditure.

Spritz cookies are a tradition in my boyfriend's family too. I know they used to do it for Christmas, but for reasons I can't remember his grandmother started doing it on Easter. He's taken that tradition over since she passed a few years ago and good Lord he bakes a ton of cookies! I think he made over a hundred last year.

Haha thanks, she looks like such a little weirdo in this pic, but I <3 my beast!

I ended up making red and green spritz cookies. Actually, they were more like bright pink cookies...oops! We made way too many cookies!

Did you meet them elsewhere in Mexico or at home?

I love going to the "real" places in countries that I visit. I was super lucky when I did my first trip to Europe that we actually stayed with families in Marseilles instead of just doing straight up Paris, Madrid, etc. and playing tourist the whole time.

They met us in the airport in Veracruz, then we drove to their home. It's a good thing, too - I don't know if I ever would have found it with the world's most detailed map and a good set of instructions. They also fed us the whole time, so we experienced all kinds of home cooking - not a taco or burrito in sight.

I whacked my head into the pole in my basement. Sitting here with an ice pack on it trying to avoid an egg.

That reminds me of Home Improvement. Tim Allen always smacked his head on a pipe whenever he went into the basement.

I loved that show...

Hope your head's okay!

The people above me are getting a new mattress delivered and it doesn't fit up the stairs (or through their door; I can't figure out which). So now, the Value City truck has backed up ONTO MY PATIO and they are attempting to THROW it over their balcony. There are so many things wrong with this.

LOL!

I'm sorry, but the thought of throwing a mattress over a balcony is hilarious to me. You know they'll have to do that again whenever they move out.
