Post Trying to get ahead

Me and one of my friends have been arguing about a topic some time. I was in search of the opinions of some intellectual and open minded individuals, so I came here! We all know how affirmative action works and we all know how we feel about it. Keeping this in mind, the question to all of you is this: If you were hired for a job in the industry that you've always wanted work in and you found that your place of employment in some way promotes ideas or concepts that are in conflict with your morals or ideals would you compromise your morals and wait until you're in the posistion to change things; or would you remain true to yourself and risk not getting the job and/or changing the ideas for those who come after you? I would really appreciate all replies so tell me what you think!
